What is a 2-storey house?
A storey on a house is only official if it is above grade. A basement does not count as a storey. To have a two storey house, it has to have 2 levels above grade the main floor and an upper floor. A walkout basement on a bungalow doesn’t count and the upper level has to be the same size or comparable to the main floor to count as a complete storey.
The two-storey house plan is one of house plans which are widely used in the service sector house because of the limited design space of most properties. The construction cost is also an important factor that most builders will build 2-storey houses and bi-levels. The construction cost per square meter is less because more square feet on a foundation and all these things are under one roof.
